Why dont we set up a 50mph+ A50 thread?
Anybody interested?
Let us speed demons ( ::) ) show what we gotten out our little 50cc's.
If we make a rule that only photographic or video proof gains entry we can be sure all claimers are genuineand have a record of topspeeds to look back on in years to come with the grandkids?
I was on 51-52 but im in the middle of tuning business right now so am down to 48 but plan to be back up over 50 by next week hopefuly. I now there are a few other 50mph+ A50's out there so why dont we get some videos all in the one thread and show off a bit 8) .
If anyone fancies it post up a vid, i'll get mine on soon as im fine tuned by the weekend with luck.
We can even get little 50+ Club stickers for our scoots lol 8)

Haha, no i didnt die. I was going 13 mph when a lady made a right turn into me, i lost control and kissed a light pole.
Yeah, the last couple of mph are the hardest. It only did 50 for a short time and only with the wind in the back. :)

No you didnt die but the Kymco did.
I was at 52mph on a good day downhill but had a worn boss and been messing about with open air filter and jetting last wk or so and now im down to 48mph. Hopefully i can get it all tuned nice this weekend and get a decent run over 50 on film. I really shouldve filmed it when i 1st hit past 50 but was so pleased i got carried away riding!
Its getting over 50 this week, even if i have to tie it to a car and drag the f****r ;D

well i must say.. zombie you have skills lmao. when i get my Ag50 sorted out (currently have a monumental oil leak, but its still going!!) i will post a pic of me doing 50+ shes done it before with no problems so once shes feeling better she will be chomping at the bit to go fast... i think my Ag is getting pissed off doing 42 mph :D

Just been out on a new belt and im still stuck at 47-48mph, just cant get back to that magic 50 for some reason ???
Got 52 on my Malossi 736-17-30 belt but it was kevlar and i saw it was coming apart at the wdge today so i put on a rubber belt almost the same size 736-18-30 but its no worked as i hoped, guessing that 1mm in width makes more difference than i thought, had my helmet xam on and everything to film it too >:(
Got a brand new stock belt in the garage so i might stick that on and see how it goes if i get time tomorrow.

Belt sizes are f***ed. There's no standard in Manufacturing. You'll get 59. It's just in the combo, and there are sooooooo many variables. The constant is gearing. Up gears make all the difference.

Windy as hell here today but i still managed to get this on film, just. Was in a 30mph zone so i backed back off once i had it on film, that and i was terrified i would drop my £450 phone on the tarmac :D
Anyway i got it. Will get a better vid up once the wind dies off, just wanted to be sure i had some evidence of it tho while shes running so good. Im a happy chappy today :)

She will go faster, just hoping for a calm day tomorrow cos it was like 15-20mph gusts of wind today. Def get another couple of mph out her soon. Got my headcam all sorted out for tomorrow to hopefully get a better video if the wind is gone. ;D
Started dialing in my open filter and jet after i did the film, tried 94 in but still not perfect, almost but not quite. Not checked the plug yet but will in the morning. Got a 92 & 96 there to try out. That was still on the stock box but on the 5.1's and 1500 torque spring, seems to work well, keeps the revs up nice and good and has decent acceleration.

I'm in the club too, but cant get a vid, as my speedometer won't go further than 25 km/h, but i have gps verified 72 km/h so the indicated speed would be like yours ;D

Oh dear, what a complete waste of time and money. Is this Germany? They sound German? We dont have that mobile kind of check but if a cop is determined to have your scoot off you then he can sieze it and have it taken to a police test centre to have its speed or bhp tested. Its rare here but it does happen.
Most cops where i live will not hassle or bother you unless you obviously break laws, say droving on a pavememt or without a helmet or just racing around in town etc. If you ride normally and keep up with traffic then normally you will be left alone.
Most cops dont even bother to pull you now, a quick check on their police computer tells them if you have a valid insurance, license, road tax etc, of you do they stop tailing you and look elsewhere.
I got stopped a months or so ago for riding in a bus lane for like 20yds, cops where great tho and we had a little chat about bikes while he checked i was legal. Soon as it came back i was they let me go, no fine, no hassle, just some friendly advice.
IMO all scoots should be legally capable of 40mph not 30mph as it is here now. 30 is dangerous, 40 is much safer as you can keep up with traffic flows.

there not really getting a true reading from the "portable" rolling road. there is no resistance on the bike.....but hey they are speed nazis....actually they are scooter nazis.....OOOOHHH lets see how many scooters we can pull over so we can take away there bike and use it for ourselves lmao. and i agree with Streido, the cops here are quite leniant, they will butt rape a teenager for acting like a complete cock but if you late 20's going 30's then they just ignore you most of the time unless you deliberatly catch there attention.

Same here, even with us in a large group and loud as hell, the police dont mess with us. Were a mix of late 20s to early 30s though, and 49-600cc scoots. My friends bergman is a beast.

We've got those portable speed readers here in Denmark as well, but there are build in resistances in it, so it acts like there are wind and a 100 kg person on it. :)
Even though they are recalibrated every 100 km, they still have a 10 % insecurity when worst, so this is removed from the reading. ;)

Vivo thats excellent, wish we had that here. We got bicycle lanes, bus & taxi lanes but no scoot/motorbike lanes yet. That would def get folk out their cars and onto scoots.

I agree, if there were roads like that in the US or Aus it would rapidly change the way we commute. It would possibly save a ton of gas, or for my instance at least people would have a lot more fun. I can average as low as 35 mpg on my corsa build or get as good as 70.
There needs to be some swift and orderly change of the road system.

This was a necessity in our case because there are lots of us riders already on the road. Half of the total number of vehicles registered here are motorbikes/scooters.
