I'm running an iridium NGK DPR7EIX-9 gaped to .027 in my 250s with no issues.

Yes and it will give you superior performance and last much longer , although some folks around here don't think it's worth the extra $4.00 or so . Good luck .

I've never heard of an iridium plug causing problems on any engine, it's always just the question of are they worth it.  I think they are worth the extra cost for any vehicle, and especially in a single cylinder engine.  Well okay - I don't have them in my diesel f250...

Iridium is the most corrosion resistant and most dense metal.  It's related to Platinum, but even more rare.

so for those of you that've made the switch to the iridium plug - p250 (i have non-S), is it worth the additional costs? can you actually tell a diff in engine behavior?

Any plug with correct specs will work great for you including "Iridium". I have been using regular NGK plugs in my scoots. I change them every 10.000 kms and they look almost as good as new when I change them.

p.s. There is a strong bipartisan movement on the forum related to Iridium plugs and SeaFoam. Beware.  ;D ;D :D

p.p.s. There is also a rumor going around that the earth is round , not flat . Beware not to ride over the edge .

Since going with one, mine seems to start up easier when it's cold...have had NO issues from it...

juice... not an issue affording it but i'm talking about a low hp, non performance scooter here.

got this to battle $4+ gas period.

my etailer has oem's for a buck n change.

since this is my first scooter of any kind, I have zero frame of reference.

just not one to throw dollars at something cause it's new and expensive so must be better.

Even our "low tech" scooters are far more maintenance intensive than most cars, certain low quality or exotic cars aside.
Our scooter engines require spark plugs require renewal at the rate of ~4-8:1 of a car.  I think it may be because scooters are allowed to burn far less cleanly than cars and the 'plug takes the abuse.

All plugs deliver the same power or spark. However, the better the metal, the longer the plug's life. Copper is good, but Platinum lasts longer. Iridium lasts even longer. Spark is not the issue but plug life.

Spark plugs with fine wire center electrodes operate better for two reasons. First, a smaller center electrode requires less voltage to jump the gap. This means fewer misfires, which will be seen in higher mileage and more horsepower.
