Just wondered how many ride using the a50 pillion seat as a backrest?
I cant do it, i end up with a backache after 20mins of riding so need to stop and fold it down. Maybe it just my prefered riding position that doesnt fit or im just too tall at 6'2" but i cant get comfy with it as a backrest. I also dont like the fuel cap etc showing as i ride, they should have made a cover for that so its still unseen if the backrest is up.
Just be interested if anyone does use it or not?

I took mine off and have my trunk hooked to it so when I need gas I can just tip the trunk up and put in the gas.works great.

Thats my problem i think too, i need to make like im doin the Charleston dance and stick my knees out to do a tight turn or i hit my handlebars off my knees and cant turn. I also tend to lean forwards a little bit i think.

..yup..thats why i ride with my feet on the passenger footrests..lol..
..hadda close call onna low speed turn because of the knee/handlebar issue.....

i always used to ride with the backrest up. a few people have stopped me to tell me that the rest was up and i had to inform them that it was meant to be like that. i found that slouching while having the back rest up was the easiest way of riding.
