I have ordered new dowel pin locators and I need to know where they go. Any help would be great.
-
Why did you order them? They install (2) between the Cylinder base, and the engine case . There are two more between the Cyl., and the Cyl. head. There are two holes in each part that have larger holes to accept them.

..now, why would you do that??
;D

Because some were missing...

...okay, i guess i'm confused...
..if you know that they are missing, then why you need to ask where they go??

..none of my ppl engines have locators....i've had all 3 of them apart..
..the holes were not oversized for them either...

I'm pretty sure there are a couple on the CVT cover on my ZX as well.

..word up shaka!!!
..long time no see!!!
;D
..yup, all my cvts have them..

What's shakin' Shaka? Good to "see" you. The 2t's generally do not use them because the Cyl. liner fits the case tight enough to line them up. Same for the bolts/studs for the head. Most 2t's hav the piston at or below the top of the Cyl. so locator's are not required. I mentioned them to Slinger because of the jug I thought was using. My piston in the ruima is actually 1.5mm above the deck so a misaligned head will stop it dead. They are used in 4t's because of the multiple parts involved. Too much room for error. They will only fit in two of the holes in each piece Scuzz
