Rear pulley look ok?
-
..rear tire got any air innit?
-
..20 mph head wind??..
-
..consider this..won't have to worry about getting a ticket for speeding over 30mph!..
...wait...don't ride down any hills!!.....
-
Got up early to check out scoot better and I find that the spring on the acelrator pump on the carb is bend in to the throtle cable it broke right off trying to fix so now the acelator pump is not connected.took the scoot for a test drive and for some reason the scoot runs ok even at full throtle.
I guess nothing to worry about. Or should I worry.
Wow for a while there I was thinking CARMA was at the bottom of the hill waiting for me.

accel pump gives an extra shot of fuel during throttle twist...
..you might miss that on acceleration, but wot should not be affected...

Damn. It happened again was comeing home and the scoot would only go 20 km Looks like time for a new belt.........or am I not seeing something let me know what you think it might be. the belt I have is old but it looks realy good it must just be stretched out. I did take a good fall with it hope I did not do other damage to it.

Too many variables Blue> Does it just fall of in speed while driving? Comes, and goes? I had a problem w/ a rusty tank e little while ago. It ran fine until it picked up a bit of rust, and lost power. Try to describe the chain of events. F'n dude on the downhill is maybe VOODO?
I"M SORRY TOO! REALLY!!!

..same as my s9 when i first got it...
..it had what looked like a tiny seed hull in the carb bowl..
..would run just fine, then just stall out..
..i could stop..sit there and rev the engine all day..no problem..
..soon as i took off down the road, and the hull found its way to my main jet...slowwwwed waay down...

yes it just comes and gos I could be going ok for a while then the next thing I know im only going 20km.
I might go another mile or 2 then it well go back to normal. im hopeing the belt because when its on the stand its fine then when I take off it slows down. but yet sometimes its ok. I just dont know right now.

I would look into (2) things... CARB. TRASH, and rollers. If the rollers are too far gone (can take 1 day) they will shimmy around, and not open the Var. until they find a good spot and will then open it. This is a maybe... I would think removing/cleaning the in tank screen, replacing any in line filter, and a through carb. clean will do it. A belt is a good idea too but will give a constant problem. Not an intermittent one. Of course check the plug. Unscrew the plug cap, cut off 1/2" of conductor, and screw it back on. This will eliminate burnt wire at the end. Check the vacuum line for hardness or cracks, and check the inlet side of the carb. manifold for cracks as well. I'll eat my keyboard if it is the belt... ~Pass the salt please~

Blue did you check the manifold yet? When mine was leaking it started out by being fine on the stand but when i lowered it down and sat on it the revs would die a bit and i did lose power and speed when i rode. It took me a week or so to track it down to the manifold and in that time i still rode every day but it gradually got worse till i couldnt get over 30mph, thats when i found the manifold leak.
Maybe your is beginning to go but isnt leaking enough yet to make it totally unridable. Worth a quick look? Make sure you take the manifold off completely to get a good loog round it cos ithought mine was ok and i looked for other things till itook it off, then i saw the rip straight away.
