Hey Guys I am new here and I am trying to learn about this bike. I have a 2006 Kymco Venox and it runs good. Bought it for 100$ go figure! lol. But anyways, riding down the street and it muffles and shuts off. I find out it is the kickstand sensor. Since it is springloaded I would like to just disable the sensor. How would I go about that?
Thanks in advance

I forget if the switch is normally open or closed but it is easy either way. Remove the plug, and if it runs leave it that way. If it wont run either jump, or splice the wires together completing the circuit.

so try and disconnect if not make a full circuit in replace of the sensor. right?

I don't have the manual with me right now. I'm certain however, that on my Yager, to bypass the kickstand, put a fuse in the blank fuse position in the fuse box. I may do that myself.

Thanks Zombie! I got it finished today and it runs good. How fast should a venox go? mine stops at about 55ish

For a hundred bucks 55ish sounds pretty darn good. There really not cruisers but cheap, light transport. Lots of guys on the 50cc pay $100.00 per three mph.

LOL. Ya I know but I was trying to see if they are suppose to go faster.

Factory gearing should do 60mph down hill. There are a few threads on replacing the sprockets to get a little more out of it. Some suggest Honda sprockets will fit.
