Title: Rear Brake Adjust
Post by: fshfindr on December 31, 2011, 06:21:50 PM
Lately my rear (left) brake handle has more and more travel.  Squeezing it I get now get too close the handlebar.  My brake fluid reservoir still appears to be full.  I think I need to do an adjustment or a bleed.  I have no idea how to do either.  Can anyone give me some advice?

Happy New Year,
Richard L.

Don't forget it could be the brake pads have worn down.  Bleeding won't fix that, as you probably know. There really isn't any adjustment for these disc brakes.

If nobody else gives you some good instructions, I'll do so later -- just don't have time right now.

You could look up brake bleeding for scooter on youtube.  There's probably many videos on it there -- maybe even for your model.  Any model close would do, though.

I doubt that it is wear.  Only 1000 miles.

Are you by chance seeing any accumulation of dust or even wetness due to brake fluid on the wheels or anywhere else?

It all looks clean.
