Anybody have any suggestions or luck with any particular aftermarket horn? I'm looking to upgrade my horn for something a bit louder and more noticeable. I would prefer something that fits in the original horns mounting spot. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Don't know if it fits or not, but everyone is happy with Stebel horns, and they're all over the ebay.
I've put the TM80 high-tone on my Agility 125 (fits under the plastics fine) and TM80 low tone on my Kawasaki,
stock wiring and fuse, a lot louder then any stock horn.
If you want to go all out, put both of these (they're actually sold in pairs with a relay to be used like this) OR
a Stebel Nautilus.

Urbestfriend highly recommends the Stebel Nautilus or Wolo Bad Boy. The Wolo now
comes Chrome Plated for around $50.00-55.00 (ie Northern Tool). Urbestfriend doesn't mess around
on looks. All my air horns (6 total) have been mounted right out in the open. I now
am mounting them right on the windshield, centered and as close to the bottom of the
windshield as I can. This is one hole around 5/15" dia. You can back the bolt up with
2 fender washers and rubber washers on either side of the plastic. The chrome ones look
super and are extremely loud and commanding. However the non-chrome one does not
look that bad. When the deer ran into me in August, the horn was bracketed on the right cowl
just in front of the handgrip. This one broke when it hit the road. In the center, it'll be better off
unless I run directly into the next deer.

Stebels are ideal because of its small size and loud sound. Just be careful not to buy fake ones.

Stebels on every vehicle I've owned for 20 years (even my 50cc and 125cc scoots). I've seriously considered adding one to my road trike that I go ripping around on late at night. Put a battery in a saddlebag, upgrade my lights to 12v...

I spool out at 43. I've had a friend say I could push a larger triple ring (he hits 47) - but I think my shrieking would be too embarrassing if I went any faster. :)

1+ for the Stebel Nautilus. I had one on my Yamaha Morphous and it grabbed everyone's attention, Super loud!

The Wolo Bad Boy 419 and Stebel Nautilus compact are very similar. They are both dual tone horns, and are similar in looks, sounds, and price. Wolo claims 118 decibels, Stebel claims 138 - but they are from different distances. For the same price I would grab the Stebel because I've owned more of them. If one was cheaper then I'd buy the cheaper (I've owned one Wolo Bad Boy and it sounded exactly like the Stebel i replaced (a car backed into my bike while it was parked).
Important for either one - mount it using a relay and heavy enough wire. Mount it upright, facing forward, with room to intake air, and unobstructed area in front of it.

I would most likely shoot the fella w. the air horn (reflex). Just a thought. You can add (2) horns of the same frequency (sound out put/tone) and get 1/2 of the db's. The reason is called frequency calculation or phasing. Adding a second horn of a different tone will give more db's. Perhaps a cheap oem horn of a different tone added in parallel will give equal or better results than a $100.00 horn? Just a thought!
