Title: problem when speed go's up

Hello, i have a problem with mi xciting 500, when i want to overtake a car on the highway while going 120KM/h the machine won't speed up when give full power but after about 20 seconds it go's like hell without warning.
it happens only when the outside temp is verry low.

is there anyone who has an answer  ?

Check the diaphragm in the top of the carburetor for cracks or leaks, it may not be getting enough vacuum to lift the needle immediately.

It may just be a loose vacuum hose or fitting.

The C V slide/sleeve may be hanging up or getting stuck inside the carb body. The only fix is to clean the carb. At least it's a cheap fix! :-*

most likely it's the diaphragm. That's also my problem. Mine needs replacement every 4tkms-5tkms.

Thats strange because I am at 27,000 Miles and have had no such problems with carb? :-*

Fuel quality, storage temps and vehicle use may all be variations to why some people have issues with their carbs over others ;
With that said, I love my FI  :D

Well I have this problem too. I had it and in my 250 carb and now with 500 carb. If someone figures it out please post your findings! I' ll check the diaphragm tomorrow. Can the diaphragm  be just loose? Or became  bigger by time only??

mine gets bigger on an avg of 4tkms-5tkms. Checked it a week ago and needs to be replaced again.

Well I changed the diaphragm today . The problem shorted out completely. Thank's a lot guys!!

solved

hi there i have solved the problem , it was the shutter in the carb the fuel was going in but it did not close so to much fuel consumption  i cheked te top cap and opened it and had a lot of trouble to fit the rubber membrame inside but problem is solved

To Han's and everyone, when I changed mine the rubber lip would not stay in the re-sess/groove. So I put a tiny amount of grease down in the groove, and it will hold the new diaphram in place to put the cap back on. Worked great. ;D :-*
