I just got heated gloves and a heated jacket liner. The gloves draw about 27 watts, the jacket about 75. I was wondering if anyone here knows how much power the stator/alternator is rated for on the People S 250? I'm thinking it'll be OK to run the gloves, but I question the jacket (which my other bike, a Moto Guzzi V7 will have no problem with).
Thanks,
Jay

sorry - no answer for you on this. I use heated gloves for 2 years no problems - really make winter scooting happen - otherwise pain and suffering. I didn't bother with the jacket part as my rides are pretty short and my First Gear jacket with my regular jacket under it seem to keep my body mass warm - its the fingers that are faulty design!

I read some where that a person used a mobility chair deep discharge batter under the seat to run his coat and gloves. Recharged at home at night. I have my system loaded pretty heavy so am thinking of trying it in the spring.

I have the First Gear heating system with heated jacket and gloves....I'm not toasty warm but I'm warm enough to drive to work in the lower-30's!
The gloves plug into wires on the sleeves and the jacket plugs into the plug I drilled a hole for on the left side of the bottom compartment.
I don't remember the wattage but when I bought it First Gear had a higher one and a lower one and I got the lower one. I have not had a dead battery while using it. (Except when the stupid "Met-In" light comes on while she's parked and drains the battery....I gotta disconnect that light somehow!)
I do have a Black and Decker "Start It" jumper box that fits in the bottom compartment and I carry that with me...it will even start a car! (I had a battery die once at a gas station so paranoid about not being able to jump the scooter.) I really wish they were a way to pop the clutch like on motorcycles to start the scooter!

There is 5 Amps extra for sure in P250S. More than that - did not test.
