I took my front cover off and noticed that there is wiring for lights that match the Xciting 500's lights. It looks like it is simply a matter of changing out the reflector for a 500 and adding some bulbs. Has anybody done this and does anybody know of a source for these reflectors? I searched around on the internet and was unable to find some.

The US version of the 500 doesn't have the lights either. You can buy a different reflector on eBay for $114 which will fit right in and have the 2 marker lights which will work with your wiring.

The is basically the previous Euro version (the current version looks like the Downtown). Upgrading to the current version with the twin headlamps and led rings would be a pain because the bodywork mounts were changed.

I saw this item on Ebay while trying to find a reflector. I looks like they are selling the light mount. That looks exactly like what I have on my bike already. I'm thinking I just need a reflector that has the two side marker light holes in it. Sounds like it can be done, just need to find a source.

That is the reflector and clear lens and mounts for the 3 light setup (headlight and 2 marker lights). It comes as one piece. The 250 and 500 are the same in each market. The US version has the wiring for the 2 additional lights - but you have to buy the Euro version of this piece in order to use them. In 2008 the Euro version went to dual headlamps with LED rings (very cool) - which is also what the US spec Downtown has. If you have a 2006-2011 US spec Xciting 250 or 500 then this will fit and let you use the two additional marker lights. They sell these on a regular basis, and sometimes have a picture which shows the front with all 3 bulbs - but you can see they are all 3 there in the shot from the rear.

Cool, thanks for the info. I may have to give them a shot down the road, I've got to pace myself on the mods and gear so the wife alarm doesn't go off ;)
