I am thinking about buying a Airsal 70cc Big bore kit How would it benefit my engine and I
Is it a good buy

You would be better off getting a 80cc BBK, from experience, the 70cc gave me more bottom end no matter how much I tweaked my transmission. The 80cc gave the top end I'm sure your going to like. Sorry those guys with the 2 stroke......they can do it all with 70cc, but 4 stroke you need to go bigger.

It depends what the result your looking for is. I have this exact kit and I've been very happy with it. It made some difference in low end and top end but not an incredible change. Little bit quicker off the line and a few more mph (about 50mph top speed). But I get to top speed much quicker and can cruise up most hills, even steep ones at easily 35mph rather that 20-25. The larger the kit you get the more wear and tear on your scooter, that why I chose a 47mm kit. Let us know what happens! Good luck!

Not worth it to much wear and tear.you pay for it later in the long run.

In my mind if you want more power better off just trading up to a 125 Agility. Will work out much cheaper as the extra strain on the engine especially the crank will mean engine will go bang bang at some point. Also come time to sell it will but many potential buyers off heard too many stories of over modded Scooter engines blowing.
Of course I can also understand the joy to be had in modding like the person with a 1.9TDi who is just about to pay 4K to have it go from 105Bhp to 300Bhp. Would he be better off buying a new car probably, but then it would miss the whole joy of modding it I suppose........
As for the joy of modding this thread is worth a read quite funny sorry it is car's but has been doing the rounds on the net!!!

So I bought an 87.5 main jet for my agility and I need to know how I should tune the carb for my airsal 70cc big bore kit my original main jet was an 82

Yes, but in some places on this planet (like the nanny state of the Netherlands) that means you've got to get a drivers license for a regular 25KW bike with manual transmission - for which you have to do at least three exams (even if you've already got a license for driving a car) - and the way the system works over here means that it's very difficult to do this without also taking a good number of expensive lessons at a commercial driving school - for most people the total cost will amount to about € 1000,- and it wil take at least about half a year, often more...

Oh, and by the way : the difference that a 70cc makes compared to a 50cc is _really_ worth it.
I've had the pleasure of owning a 70cc and a 50cc Agility at the same time for a few weeks, and I was surprised with the difference between them...
But since I turned the 50cc into an 85cc, they do not differ that much anymore... The 85cc is indeed more powerfull than the 70cc, but not so much that I would buy one again - The 70cc works with the OEM cylinder head instead of a cheap china head, and with the lighter piston the 70cc is running a lot smoother...

All valid points. I have the 50mm kit I bought on Ebay for 70.00 shipped. I used the OEM Kymco head as the China one had no valve seats. The piston dome MUST be polished to clean up the casting sand marks but other than that I have about 2k miles, and it is everything I wanted. More torque, more top end (55mph) , and so far ... reliable.

Is the link on ebay the 50mm kit? Because 50 mm will only give 81cc with the agility stroke and not 100 :p

Yep. 50mm. They advertise as 100cc but are really 82cc. When I got mine the first thing was to check the valve seats. I emailed the seller, and told him the head was USELESS with out seats. He told me he has sold thousands of kits Bla Bla Bla... I told him the kit is of no use. He said "TRY IT AND SEE". I did, and the valves lost seal in about 150 miles. I went back to the OEM head, and all is well. The seller offered to replace the head so I took a new Cylinder/piston instead. Since then I have had a set of titanium seats installed along with a three angle valve job for 85.00 bucks. It's my spare kit now.

So, the valves has 3 angles, in case one of them no longer seals properly, and you can sand the valve hole (dunno the english name) so the valve will fit in one of the other angles or what? ;D

It gives more sealing surfaces. The idea is the outer most cuts take all the abuse allowing the center cut to stay clean tight. Really works well on hi compression/hp engines. I just had it done cause I can.

Any shop that does either MC or head work can easily do it. I had the owner of a golf ball manufacturing plant do mine. He has a complete cnc shop, and can make anything on the planet. I still hsve 9 1/2" left if your thinking of trying it. We actually cut the valves @ 3 angles(30/45/60*) then cut the matching seat into the end of the stock in a cnc lathe. Cut the finished seat off the stock, and cut/pressed it into the head. I'm actually looking for a pair of 64x30mm valves to cut in.
(I fix his boat, and he makes me parts). I realy like these little 4t's. They can really hum along on Pee for fuel. I would like to build a nice stroked 8-9hp 4t.
