Title: PS250 - digital odometer not responding to buttons
Post by: BigBadger on August 18, 2011, 01:35:57 AM
I have a 2007 People S 250 which I purchased used.  I had to replace the speedo gear and cable and the speedometer is working fine now.  The digital odometer refuses to respond to the buttons and when I turn on the ignition I sometimes get odometer, sometimes trip  and sometimes service.  Does anyone know of a way to reset the thing or maybe even replace it?  I'm hoping I don't have to replace the entire panel.

Thanks in advance.

EDIT:  BTW, I have read the manual and know how the buttons are supposed to respond.  They just don't.  I read one poster say that it was all about "the angle" used to press the buttons.

I bought a 2009 model BRAND NEW and the buttons don't work!!
Plus my odometer is adding miles to fast, which is going to make my warrant run out fast.

You had better check you odometer. Drive somewhere where you know the exact distance, like about 50 miles, and then see how many miles got put on the odometer.

Not everywhere in the world.  >:(
10.000 kms or 2 years, whichever first here.
Depends on the importer, obviously.

If that were the case here, mine ran out yesterday. I still have over 1.5 years left on it.
