Title: New member to the forum with question?

Hi everyone,
New to this forum and to scooters, but in the process of buying a Kymco.  At least that's what I've decided
on. My name is Darrell Christan and live in Tulsa, Oklahoma.
I'm looking at a Kymco 250cc people scooter.  It's a 2007 with a little over 4,000 miles on it. It has a full windshield and a Givi top case.  Looks real nice and well taken care of.  Asking $2,400.00.  I've done a whole
lot of research and from what I can find it appears to be a pretty good deal.  All you experienced scooter people please let me know what you think!?!?

Go to the motorcycle section of Kelly Blue Book (www.kbb.com (http://www.kbb.com)), and look up both the trade-in price, as well as the retail (i.e. from a dealer) price.  I'd think a fair price would be something in between, depending on various factors (i.e. model, condition, how well it was maintained, accessories, etc.).

I'm not experienced by any means, but I've researched a lot of Kymcos and that seems to be a good deal.  Ride it first before buying.

your not gona  go wrong with either scooter but you might just wana check this one out, its the new fuel injected 170 buddy, at  a really killler price i almost bought on brand new they run like 4300

That sounds like a good price.

Here's some comparisons.  I'm a bit south of you (Austin), but we're in a similar market.  We had a clean 2006 sold for $2300 recently, there is a clean 2007 listed for $2900 in craigslist, and you can get a new 2009 People 250 S for $3500 at TJ Cycles in Austin, or a high mileage 2008 for $1500.
