Title: What weight rollers should I try?
Post by: Wick on August 07, 2011, 12:47:26 PM
Ok...thanks to marioG, I now know what size/weight my stock rollers are for my Like 200i (18x14, 13.5g, and there are 6 of them). My next question is what weight should I change to? I am looking to get a few more mph at the top end. I am pretty happy with my take off and acceleration as it is. I know you are supposed to go up in weight to gain top end, but how much should I go up...and should I increase the weight of all the rollers, or do some sort of combination of weights? Also, what is the max speed increase I should expect by just changing the rollers? My current top speed is around 60 bone stock. I have researched this on the web, but have seen too many different takes on the subject. I am just looking for some good sound advice to get me headed in the right direction.

Normally i think its best to go up or down a gramme and see how that feels,so maybe try 14.5g? Your acceleraton and uphill speed may be slightly slower but you may gain a few mph top end. Dont expect huge gains tho, i am talking a few mph, i.e maybe 3-5mph.

Im only going on my Agility so your scoot may be slightly different.

yeah, this is tuning the bike....its takes lot of time....think u can gain max 3mph...so just wait till rollers are over and then change them with dr. pulleys.....

need to install rpm clock and see how much r ur scoot is turning at 60mph.....the max is like 7500rpm (sweet spot)...

so if ur wanna go faster u need to get lighter weights.....u can try with 12grams dr pulleys....

other side is that ur bike is tuned to the max and ur using 90% of capacity, so dont use that speed a lot.....take a notch back...bearings are crap!

personally if ur happy with this set up try 13.5grams dr pullyes......

certanally ur gonna lose some acc, but its gona be nicer ride...
