Picked my DT 300i up yesterday and am thrilled! Traded my 2007 People S 200 in on the DT. After going over the scoot and it's features I have one question of probably many to come. When you fill-up
do you let it fill automatically and click off on its own? This probably sounds pretty basic but I am used to a motocycle that I can look down into the tank and see the level of gas and when to stop!
I waited 6 months to see a DT and finally found a dealer with one on Thursday and I took it.
Thanks for your help

Personally I always let it click off and force nothing more...................

Just make sure to do the same thing everytime if you plan to accurately track your MPG.

I bought a gas can from Walmart so I could fill up more accurately in my garage.. I fill the can up on the weekends and use the can during the week..

Thanks so much for the input. I just couldn't think of running gas all over the new "LOVE"!

Having a motorcycle and a People S200, you'll probably alredy know, but for the un initiated; gas up slowly. Gently pull the trigger. The pump is made to fill up gas tanks quick. And our tanks don't need much.
I also stop when it shuts off. Seems to fill far enough and it's good to have "breathing room" in the tank when it's hot.

I fill mine right to the baffle but my station is 40K from home and I fill going home so have room.

I have heard that some have problems with starting for some peculiar reason if you overfill it.
Personally, I squeeze every last drop that I can into it and have never had any trouble.
