Title: Confusion about engine production number
Post by: rperry on July 27, 2011, 09:08:20 PM
Hi this is such a wonderful forum site. Here goes an newby type question ?.
My super 8 150 has a production date of late 2008. The engine number begins KV30S1000664. So how does that relate to the 157QMJ line of engines. The QMJ line seems to list all the hop up parts ?.
I appreciate your experience and help. At least i know the difference between a two stroke and a four cycle. Thanks Bob

I think that you are looking at the the wrong number.  It should be right below the air filter on the engine case.
Be assured that it is a GY6 engine made for Kymco.  Most GY6 parts will work on your engine.
