Title: Neutral light problem
Post by: ROGER111963 on July 25, 2011, 05:01:30 PM
I've got a MXER 150 that I having trouble with. Getting ready to start it and the neutral light will not come on allowing it to start. It is intermittent. Sometimes it starts , sometimes nothing. I just replace the starter relay (solenoid) but it still has the problem. Seems to be more prevalent when the engine is hot.. is there a sensor or something that would cause it not to start. FYI, it will start with the neutral light off if I jump the poles on the starter relay. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

CHECK IF THERE IS A NEUTRAL LIGHT SWITCH ON THE CRANKCASE, USUALLY ON THE LEFT HAND SIDE.  THAT MAY BE FAULTY.
