Hey all, I just got a second hand 09 agility 50, ive been reading up on the CDI derestrict mod...problem is I dont know if the CDi i have is the right one to do it with...its all black with white plugs and says " KYMCO TA YOUNG D421" on front, and on the right side, "TA YOUNG" "J52" "(P)" "KDU" "09.02.01"...I dont have a clue what that means.(Im a scooter noob)...can i derestrict this CDI? Should I post pics first? any and all help is greatly appreciated.

Without a doubt you can perform the "CDI cut" on that scoot. I have the exact same scoot. Just look at the pics at go for it. It was a little scary thinkin I cut too far and should have seen the wire by now but don't worry its there and you will know when you cut it. Don't forget to fill in the groove you make by cutting it with some epoxy or other insulating material. Good luck and welcome!
