Well as my heading says - I'm in Somerset, in the West country.

They must have sold more than 3 DTs in the UK???

Where is everyone? ???

unfortunately it doesn't mean they will all find us, some may not even be netzians. It would have been cool if Kymco would have sponsored right from their site a forum or linked to a comon location users could link into.

Congrats on the bike. I know in the USA, for the 2 1/2 months of ownership, I've yet to see another DT 300i. I don't think though there are any left in my state as I want another one.

In the state there was a burnt orange and silver but they went to other dealers. They, my local dealer, passed on the silver as there was some damage to the tupperware. They were offerd the burnt orange but the dealer not seeing it thought it was the really ugly dull orange.

I know though it is the good orange having seen a couple of video's so actually that would be my prefered color unless the 2012's get a candy apple red.

My plan however is if I do ever get to see another DT 300i is to try and promote the site to the rider. It would be great to get input from other owners...............

Hi folks.
New member from Gloucestershire - just jooined.
Picked up my DT300 last September and never looked back.
Been lurking on the Maxi-MUppets forum for the last couple of years, and they're all very nice, but a little disparaging about Taiwanese scoots in general, and the DT300 in particular.
They tend to be Burger and Tmax owners, and so I'm now looking forward to some likeminded discussion.
Cheers
Spike

Welcome Spike 1
Only been on the forum a couple of weeks just too kdelivery of my DT yesterday, Awesome!!!! I had a SYM 250GTI which I thought was amazing but the DT is way better in all departments. I was concerned that it may take a while to rack the miles up as I am having an alarm fitted during it first service, my dealer said you wont have a problem as its a scoot you want to ride. Took it home and had my lunch and thought got to get back on it ended up doing a 130 mile round trip to see my friend in Morecambe. Loved every second it is smoother, more stable, better looking and more powerful than the SYM. I hate to say it but I am glad someone stole my SYM otherwise I would have missed out on this great scoot.

There are only 28 of us in the UK, and half of those are 2011 registrations, so I don't expect to come across any for a while...

Compared with 784 for the XEVO 400ie taxed in the last year...

welcome to all new DT 300 owners.  i live in the New Orleans area and have had my DT for about 3 months.  had a Honda Elite 80 so my step up was a huge one.  I was at the dealer this past Thursday and they had just received a new orange 300 and sold it the same day.  Frank, what type of alarm are you having installed?

Hi CK
Welcome. I am having a Datatool sensor alarm and immobiliser. Cant remember the model number. Having it fitted on Thursday 18th so I will let you know which one and its effectiveness. I have also fitted two wall anchor points chain and lock on front wheel, cable and alarmed lock on the rear, lol. Dont want my DT stolen I love it.
Safe scooting
Frank

Frank, how much are you paying for the alarm and fitting if you don't mind me asking?

Hi Shadwell
I paid £146 fitted. May have been a little over the odds but its my local dealer and I trust him to install without damaging the scoot.

Hi - just bought a DT, live near Newquay in Cornwall - I've seen one other DT here ?

Anyone tried a taller screen ? I'm 6' and get a lot of buffeting at 50mph +

Yes GIVI windscreen for DT300I. Is a little tall for some but I have no buffeting and gas milage went up a bit after install as no wind on me.

Ermax makes a very similar screen 10 cm taller.

That's s much more professional looking one than the GIVI one, and at thrity odd quid cheaper too!

Hehe, I 'm sure you can get it cheaper if you do a proper search, there has to be a distrubutor here in the UK and we might be able to knock down the shipping cost.
