At my 2008-model, it was with the battery in the room under your feet. :)
You can access it with a normal screwdriver, and the CDI should be quite big and black.
Have you tried looking there? :D

When I got the scooter it had been through some ruff times, laid down at least once probly twice. there was nothing covering the battery, I had to make sure that I didnt rest my feet on it at first it is sunken into the foot rest if that makes sence there are just the 3 wires coming off the battery going to the frame and back I think. I can post a pic if someone came explain how to do it.
Thanks,
Brian

I just downloaded a part of the manual and it shows the CDI as being in a slot at the end of the battery carrier, at the negative end of the battery. Will try to include a pic, though I doubt it will work.

It looks like a small rectangular black box about the size of an Ipod but thicker.

It shows that it should be rite under your feet, you may have to remove rubber mat and it should be rite there by battery.

Its 100% in there in the small recess by the battery. Big recess for the battery, right next to it small recess with your cdi. The cdi is a black box about 3.5"x2" roughly with 2x green coloured female connections on it where you plug in the scooter wiring plugs.
If its not in the recess by the battery and there are no other wires apart from the battery ones then maybe someone relocated it under the foot panel for some reason in the past? Maybe cos they lost the battery cover?
Your 2x fuses should be in there too somewhere?
If it has been moved then put it back into the correct place if you now have a cover, cos rain and road crap will get into it underneath.

Have not found it yet I have seen the 2 fuses comeing off the battery so it is probly under the foot rest. I have finally had a chance to take the scoot out since the motor upgrade and I think the cdi must had been previously cut or replaced due to burying the neddle to the odometer's corner.
That would not be possible in not cut right? "I was going down a hill" but on flat ground it is registering 50 so actually 42-43mph I assume. Is my thought process flawed? or can I give up my search??
Thanks
Brian.

Sounds like its been fully derestricted already then, 50-52mph showing on the gauge is about as fast as they go without major mods.
Prob be around 44-45 actual mph if you get to 50-52 showing.

Yea I have a 50mm cylinder on it aswell I have been babying it untill it breaks in then I am getting the exhaust, bigger carb, and up jetting again. I had a friend in a car hit 30 and my spedo said 37 so I was not very impressed with accuracy of it. I am running 7.5 gr weights though. not sure it I should play with those yet it seems to get to speed just fine so far.

just follow the battery wires and you well find it. It maybe next to the frame work of the scoot.but if it is ya you need to put it wear it well stay dry.
