Title: Sudden Load Exhaust
Post by: hatto015 on July 07, 2011, 08:59:56 PM
I was driving home on my agility 125, when suddenly the scooter started sounding as if it had no muffler on it. The scooter didn't drive any different then having a notably louder exhaust.

After inspecting the exhaust system, I found a threaded tab just prior to the muffler, and exhaust was leaving this.
I will add a photo later.

Is there suppose to be a cap or screw there? or should i bring it in to my dealership.

Yes, there is a hex-headed cap screw on a little pipe "extension" about three inches before the muffler starts. It is probably a standard metric size - my guess is 6mm. You could buy an assortment of screws at a hardware store cheap and see which one fits.

Why is that thing there anyway?

Maybe it's the "loud button", for riding in traffic.
