2010 super 8 3600 miles stopped working suddenly, dealer says needs new stator.........but cant get OEM part.
I was hesitant to buy one .......learned my lesson.....was great while it ran.

Seems to me a local electric motor shop should be able to rebuild/rewind it.

I bought a wrecked Super8 and am in the process of swapping it into a Honda Ruckus frame. I bought some parts here.. https://kymcopartsonline.com/catalog/table_overview.php?s_fk_manufacturers_id=21&s_fk_model_year_id=1&s_fk_scooter_model_id=18

I'd look for a comperable replacement before repairing a bad one. There's someone parting out a Super 8 150 on eBay right now - you should email them and ask about a stator.
Here's their store: http://stores.ebay.com/MopedMotion (http://stores.ebay.com/MopedMotion)

You can use a gy6 stator off of any scooterparts site, should fit perfectly.

guy on ebay had super8 150 parts.. i was able to obtain a starter coil from him.. scooterworks in chicago couldnt find one during the 6 weeks my scoot was there.

charged me $39 for a used coil, which seemed excessive.
think it was from a wrecked unit.
peace out
