hi i just picked up a new 2010 agility 50 iv red about the cdi mod on previous models but cant seem to find out wether it can be done on the 2010. Any answers would be appreciated thnx

I have a 2009 agility and I did the CDI mod (cutting the wire) and it worked great! To the best of my knowledge there is no real differences between a 2009 and 2010 if any at all. I would go ahead and give it a shot. 99.9% sure you will be okay. CONGRATULATIONS!!! and welcome to the forum!

i seem to remember reading that the 2010 model did not have a rev limiter... not sure where i read that but you can cut into the cdi and find out the wire should be about a 1/4" or so into the plastic there's nothing else in there to hurt so it's worth a try, you have de-restricted your variator boss already correct? if not you risk revving at a dangerous rate and possibly overheating or damaging your engine in some way.
hope this helps :)

thanks for the info and no i havent yet done the variator but my dealer said he will do the boss and rejet on its first service for me :D one thing i did notice of the show room floor is that im getting 45mph out of it sometimes on a flat stretch wich i thought was weird because there is so many people on the web complaining about how they only getting 30mph out of the previous models and my dealer said that with the 2 mods he will do on the first service i just may get 50 plus mph out of it :)

yea i'm thinking i remembered correctly then because when i bought my 08 off the showroom floor it would do 31mph.. period. no faster ever i de-restricted my variator boss and it would do 40ish downhill but i never hit 45 before i cut my cdi this leads me to believe your cdi is an unrestricted type :)
