Title: Running lean?

 How do you know if you're running lean? When I pull my plug it is dry and looks white powdery,but I don't know if that's abnormal. Is there someplace that has pics of what to look for?   TY

Yes, that does sound like it is lean. Someone has posted a link to a plug reading guide, unfortunately I don't recall which section it was in.

Thanks for posting that. After looking at that I don't really think that I'm running lean,but to be sure I'm going to have someone pull my carb to be sure that I have an #82 main jet installed and stop stressing over this (I have an Agility 50)  This is the best place for advice I can find and I thank you all for being so helpful   Dale

good luck dale. Pulling a carb is something you can do your self and save on lapor if you thing you can do it. and working on your scoot your self well give you a little smarts on on they work.

I been thinking about trying to pull the carb myself and I been looking for videos but cant seem to find any. I cut my own cdi,put in my own smooth boss and rollers and my only concern about the carb is disconnecting the throttle cable. Any problems you can forsee? Think I only need confidence.

Actually I just drained my gas tank and took off the inlet and outlet on the carb (flex hoses) then I was able to pick up the carb with throttle cable still attached flip it over and take the bowl off, replaced my main jet, put the bowl back on and flipped it back over..
A little gas spilled out, but thats about it.

Yeah, dont pay to remove the ag's carb...
On the ag, just remove the seat, remove 2 clamps and it's in your hand..... ;)
