I just bought a new Kymco Agility 50 yesterday! I am now having problems with the electric starter. If I follow the steps and press the button it just doesnt quite start. It makes the starting noise, though. I always have to give it a decent amount of gas for it to start. And sometimes, it starts, and i start to go, but as soon as i let go of the throttle, it dies. I don't know what the problem is. I can get it started and all, but i think for a brand new scoot, it should start right up. Any suggestions??

You should be covered by a warrenty , let the dealer fix it . good luck .

Hi,
From what you have said, it seems like a more extreme version of a problem I had. Mine was cutting out, every now and again, when stopping for more than 30 seconds at lights and junctions.
I was able to live with it for a month and mentioned it when I had my first service. The guy adjusted my idle screw and it has been fine since.
I would go with what has already been said and take it back to the dealer to be looked at. If it is the idle speed its a 2 minute job and they should be able to do it there and then. The warranty is there to be used.

Although the engine should not quit like that, know that it is fussy about warming up. Give the scooter about five minutes after the engine is running before you try to move it.
High test gas is the manufacturer's recommendation.....In any case you should not try to use old stored fuel, particularly if it is ethanol blend (E10).

Sounds like your idle needs adjusted and tour battery is not fully charged to me but take it back to the dealer, thats why you have a warranty.
