Title: People S 200 won't start after move
Post by: jaguar on May 24, 2011, 09:46:12 PM
My relatively new People S 200 moved with me to Minnesota from Washington, DC.  It sat over the winter in the garage and will not start.  I have a new battery in it and the electric starter only clicks, the engine does not turn over at all.  Being new to the area I have no idea where I could take it.  Any ideas on what I should do to try and get it operational?  Also, kick starting it does not seem to turn it over either.

Thanks,
John

If that were me I'd try spraying a little WD-40 down the spark plug hole and let it sit for a day.  Then put a tiny bit of motor oil, say a thimble-full, down the hole.  Then try to kick it over or turn it by a wrench on the crankshaft without turning ignition on.

If it frees up then try putting the spark plug in and starting it.

Pull the dip stick, make sure the fuel didn't leak into the crank case. I have had this on my 125. If it did, change oil and run Sea Foam threw the gas to clean out the float valve etc.
