I had a hard time choosing between a 2009 People 250s for $3500 or a 2009 Xciting 500Ri for $5000.  The People doesn't go quite as fast as I'd like - but I like it's 16 inch wheels and driver accommodations (roomier).  It also takes hard saddlebags easily, and my daughter would fit it's passenger seat better.  The 500Ri has more underseat storage, but it's not shaped as nicely for hard bags and the seat is a bit wide for my daughter.  I went with the 500Ri because I didn't want to own a carburated vehicle.  Between the Downtown 300i and People GTi 300 - I'd go with the People for the more legroom (even though the Downtown looks really sharp in white).

I really like the DT300i. I have a people S 125. It is hi and light so moves around more in the wind. Even in the city the DT300 is much more stable in wind.

Maybe you can take another perspective. Don't look at the scoots because both have almost equal qualities you need. Imagine yourself riding each and see which one looks best with you on the scoot... or which one you look best with... just a thought  ;D ;D ;D

I also used xciting 250 its really the best for ride. Now a few day ago i brought new bike People GTi 300. I like it looks so much and all of this body parts are great quality. It have good features like 4 stroke engine, single cylinder engine with electric starter. I think it is the best bike in compare of Downtown 300i.

It would be very difficult to find 300 cc scooter with injection that does not have single cylinder 4 stroke engine with electric starter.

It is not so difficult to find 300 cc scooter we have many automobile company which makes scooter and it also make 300 cc scooter. You can get this scooter easily you can try Kymco downtown 300i. It is new sport-tourer scooter. It have 4 stroke engine, 4 valve engine, 300cc and highly fuel efficient.

I think the D-T 300i vs. GT300i fits everyones needs based mostly on their height! I'm not saying...that "looks" don't come into play here! I never liked that "low-riding" Honda Helix feel myself. I feel like you could eat a bowl of popcorn while crusing a Helix/D-T 300i. It's simply too far back for me. I really like the "upright" sporty ride style of the GT300i. Plus...I'm 6' 230 lbs. I'm waiting for my delivery of my GT300i mid-next week!  Both are great scoots (still built in Taiwan) Just that they are a little diiferent!

I had an 2007 xciting 250 just upgraded to 2009 xciting 500ri. It is big and fast. I am 6'1" 260 lbs.  The xciting is like a seadoo on land pure fun with plenty of power.  I know the downtown and people are great but it is xciting all the way for me.  People no storage and downtown no leg room.  Xciting has storage and leg room hard on the inseam for shorter riders.

Title: People GT
Post by: boo on April 25, 2013, 07:28:09 PM
I just bought one.(GT)
More foot room, bigger wheels.
On the DT, I never could figure out where to put my feet.
Both are nice motor scooters.
If I wanted to sit closer to the ground, the DT would be it.
