i don't know if it's me but seems like all these zx'rs are having the same problem (allright not all) but the CDI seems short lived. has anyone else noticed the short life span of these units? maybe it's just me but i found three (or was it four) posts with what i would call the same problem. some just die, and others limp, but they all have the same cause. i explained in another post i have been trying to find a reliable cdi for my zx, and if i do i will post the results. thanks for all the good advice  ...   keep scootin

CDI is very short lived on these models for some reason which i believe is either the coils or the Starter relay. I will let you know more when i get mine running again

I just purchased my second CDI and seems like when i try different coil wires and coils it has a better spark through certain ones but none of them have "great" spark even with a new plug.. but here is the info for the CDI is anyone local needs one in michigan
