I'm thinking about getting a 50cc scooter and been eyeing a 2008 Kymco Super 9. The owner says it's liquid cooled but I always thought the 05s were the last of them. If it turns out to be an Air cooled are they still worth getting or are they not as powerful and reliable. How many miles will they run for on average, i've heard of people putting over 50K on the liquid cooled Super 9s with proper care and maintanence. I guess my second choice would be a Zuma. Any help is greatly appreciated!

The last year that the KymcoUSA parts system indicates availability for the liquid-cooled Super 9 is 2004 (you can indirectly access a simulacrum of it through Stadium Yamaha (http://www.stadiumyamaha.com/pages/OemParts?aribrand=KYM)), but I am relatively certain the one that we have on consignment right now is a 2005 (at least that's what the title says), and it is definitely liquid-cooled. I was thinking '05 was the last for the U.S. import, and then switched over to air cooled only, but I could be wrong. What does the Google tell us?

Anyway, IIRC, if you know what a water pump on these things looks like, I think it's directly fore of the CVT cover. If you see that, it's liquid-cooled. :)

THERE'S NO 2008 L/C SUPER 9
-
From my understanding, the L.C. version went from 2000-2001?-2007..(i have only seen 06-07 across the pond, not here in the states). I have a 05 model... 2008,2009 are only air cooled and come either blue/yellow or a matte black/"gold"(it's frkn green).... ;)
