Title: Throttle valve not sliding in carb
Post by: wingman7000 on April 29, 2011, 02:49:21 AM
The throttle valve is not sliding in the carb after I cleaned it. It is not seating all the way down like it should. Should I change the valve or the carb?

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Well I finally got it fixed. The problem was that the throttle valve guide inside the carb. Half of it was bent 90 degrees and wasn't allowing the valve to slide in all the way. I had to break off that half and then the throttle valve slid all the way in the way it was designed. Now the scooter starts the way its supposed to, on the first try with the electric starter and no kick start. Its been quite a while since its run this smooth. Like a totally new scoot!!! I'm soooo excited!!!
