Going to purchase myself a KYMCO Like 200i soon and was wondering which might be the most popular color amongst you all on the KYMCO Forum. Please let your choice be known if you were getting one. Thanks!

Mainland Chinese with mainland Chinese trim!

I know this already. My Like 50 2T had a "Made in China" sticker on it when I picked-it-up off the showroom floor from Vespa of Charlotte. I knew that before I purchased it. It's not a deal breaker for me that the scoot happens to be made made in China. IT'S STILL A KYMCO W/KYMCO QUALITY CONTROL IN PLACE DURING MANUFACTURING!!! I have gone through my KYMCO Like pretty extensively and I am not disappointed with the quality of it. Why is it you make comments like this when the topic is about color and NOT where it's manufactured? Please let it go, man...IT'S A KYMCO!!!

Hey, my first Kymco was an Agility 125. Don't get too bent over what jerks on the Internet have to say, okay? ;)

Pretty much everything you have in your house is made in China.

black / black
i like this scoot quite a lot. $2600 is a very good MSRP for it, too
scootermaven are you the guy from MRP and all those youtube vids? seems if so you could have and ride most any scoot you want, whether you own it or not. why have you chosen Kymco as your primary personal ride?

I'm NOT the guy from MRP. However, I like KYMCO scooters because they are nicely built, have great styling, represent an excellent value for the dollar, have a good reputation and there's a lot of good dealers around. I really like Vespa's too, but they are so expensive...not that they are not worth it in someway. One of these days, I'm gonna get myself a really good deal in a pristine, pre-owned Vespa GTS 250ie. I own a '79 Vespa P125X, but it's been real temperamental thus far and has spent more time in the shop than on the road. I love it when it runs good though! It's probably the most solid scoot I have owned to this point, but it's been HIGH MAINTENANCE!

GREAT SCOOTERS

I took the bait a month ago trading in my 2009 Honda Rebel for the Like 200i in ivory/brown.
I love it! :)

MY GIRLFRIEND'S 200I IS MIDNITE BLUE......SHE LOVES IT!!!
-
Just took delivery of an Ivory. They are all really nice looking...but the Ivory just called to me.

Althgh. Own a red xciting 500r, I personally prefer the ivory/brown color of the like. Looks really sharp. My wife is too conservative and would go for the black...

Blue and White LX all the way

I have come to the conclusion the my Black Like 200 is really metalic blue. Or am I seeing things?
-
I do not own a Like 200i, I just purchased a Kymco GT300i in silver (still awaiting delivery) I wished that the GT300i was available in Red, as the Like is! My older Kymco People S200 came in that same exact Red!
I noticed that most of Kymco USA scooters are built in China now. In fact, only 5 Kymco scoots are built in Taiwan now for the US market. Labor is pretty expensive in Taiwan & Kymco needs to keep their prices affordable. I won't worry if it's built in China, as it's all under the Kymco flag & supervision.
My dealer had a Like200i @ I sat on it. Not bad looking & $2699.00. plus it's FI now. Just that my frame 6' 230lbs. didn't fit well with the Like. My People S200 had the same exact engine, but with a carb. That engine (163cc) never gave me one problem.

I would have gone for the black and Bill, I think you are right. It looked more deep blue in the showroom to me too. I compared it the Honda in the showroom which was a true black. Since it will be my girlfriend's primary commuter she go to choose the LX with the blue and white. Because she chose that one, we have to wait another week for the bike to get here. There were none on the west coast at the time. It's not that I would call it feminine per se, it's just that the black would have been a lot cooler.

Your right from a distance they look black, up close in the sunshine metalic deep blue. Have put some pictures on flickr.

wow captainscott you really blinged it out with the chrome rails and all. Is that windshield the Kymco one?
-
Its the Puig screen from Germany. I went for the sports and the smoked option. On the site they only list for the Like 50 and 125.
Just order the 125 screen and it will fit the 200. Same scoot just slightly bigger engine.
I got it new in May this year and have clocked up 2600K with no problems.
Next spring I plan to fit a sporty exhaust by GPR, should give it a bit more of a growl and maybe hit the magic 70 mph barrier!
Cheers.

I like the look of the puig screen a little more than the kymco one but didn't have any luck finding one either on the site or on ebay. As I have been searching for stuff for this bike for weeks, I came across this a while ago http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kymco-Like-200-Exhaust-Full-System-Aluminium-Streetfighter-Road-Legal-/130689567631?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e6db48b8f (http://www.ebay.com/itm/Kymco-Like-200-Exhaust-Full-System-Aluminium-Streetfighter-Road-Legal-/130689567631?pt=UK_Motorcycle_Parts&hash=item1e6db48b8f) Is this the one you were thinking of?
-
Yeah thats the exhaust. I am waiting to the spring as I would rather not fiddle too much with the scoot while its under the first year of warranty.
Look on this site. Like 200i, second page, subject New like 200i owner & windshield question. I put a couple of posts on there with a link to Puig.
Follow instuctions to find the screen. Let me know how you get on.
