Title: drum breaks

hey everyone :)
i have the kymco super 8 and when i got it the (back) drum break was really good and strong. but now it isnt that good at all really, maybe i have stretched to cabble of something?
but what i want to know is, is there a way i can tighten up my drum break?

There is a screw at the end of the line, towards the drum, that can be turned using your fingers. It will take a turn or two to tighten it. It loosens up every few 00 kms on my gf's Agility.

cheers for your reply, there is no screw though, but there is a nut at the end of the line next to the drum, i shall turn that and give it ago, thanks :)

yes it worked, thanks, is it possible to over tighten it though?

Yes it can be overtightened.  Pull on the brake lever.  There should be some freeplay before the you feel resistance and the brake starts to engage.  If it's too tight the rear brake will drag and wear out quickly.

You can put the scoot on the centerstand and hit the gas - If the wheel spins down freely, you are good!  If it stops immediately, and you can fry an egg on the hub, it is a bit too tight - Try loosening a turn or 2.  ;D
