Title: k&N noise problem
Post by: kymco God on March 18, 2011, 06:12:01 PM
i have the kymco super 8 4stroke, and i have bought a 24mm carb, with bigger jets and a K&N air filter, it has made my scooter alot quicker, but the problem i am having is it is very noisey. it is a noise that is clear that the bike has been modified, what i am wondering is, is there anyway i can do something, to make the noise more quiet?
thank you for your help :)

The box type air filters provide a lot of air restriction AND silencing!  The K&N filters do exactly the opposite.  Unfortunately, unless you build some sort of sound muffling, restrictive box around the K&N, it will sound like that.  It's the price we pay for performance
