Not sure if Gates Powerlink is that much better than the stock factory belt. Will probably have to replace it soon!
PS: Any Kymco Riders in Cape Town - South Africa? Want to get a small group of riding friends.

I got the Gates and installed it briefly but I'm afraid I abused it. I ran without the washer in the variator for 25 miles or so and didn't like the vibration I was getting so went back to old Kymco belt with washer installed.
Looking at the Gates belt a couple months later, I noticed there was a chunk missing out of it and a serious tear in it! So, wound up getting a new Kymco belt after all.
I will try a Gates again someday. The Gates cost me $30 USDollars. The Kymco was $196!

I have good results with Malossi kevlar belts.
