Title: What is the Tank Purge and what hoses connect to it?

On the back left corner of my scooter I have a Tank Purge connected to the frame. Its got 4 hoses running off it. 2 of the larger hoses connect directly to the air filter. The smaller 2 I have no idea where those go.

What does this do? Where do those 2 extra hoses connect to?

I don't know but will guess.  It could be the vapor cannister which is there to absorb excess gasoline vapors.  If this is what it is, it should not contain any liquid gasoline but may smell like gasoline. The hoses probably come from the gas tank and carburator and then to the air filter box.

This is a huge bump for this topic but I have only recently taken my scoot apart to find this item that I KNEW had to be there. It is a "vapor cannister" and the "tank purge" are two separate tags for the assemblers to hook the hoses or for the "tech" to figure out whatever. The hose hooked to "tank" is the vent for the fuel tank. "Purge" is routed back to the intake hose to the carb or throttle body to consume the fumes in the engine. Notice the purge is connected to both ends of the vapor cannister. The other skinny line is connected to the intake between the carb or TB for a vacuum source to activate the cannister to "pass gas" to the intake.
