We have 3 rabbits, 7 grey squirrels and 3 blacks in our back yard. (Possums and raccoons at night only)
Usually, they are all fussing with each other. It was nice to see them getting along the other morning. At one point these 2 almost touched noses :)

Parking at a steakhouse in Dayton, we came across this mother goose nesting in one of the small parking lot islands. She was sitting and carefully using her beak to move that pitiful little group of sticks around her body. Then she stood up and we saw that she was sitting on 4 eggs. It was a lousy place to nest - cars and people walking all around her.
I thought about it while we were eating - and asked my wife to speak to management on the way out to see if they could protect that little family out there. She is much more persuasive than am I.
The employees surprised us by thanking us for pointing out that the geese were doing that again this year in their parking lot. They said they had saved the fencing from last year and would take care of the situation ASAP.

I have learned that I need a dose of Y.S. weekly these days - if not more often.
I will get in my truck, drive to Y.S. - get a coffee and sit on the Group W and ......

many animals are taking advantage of human activity to avoid predators, fwiw, ducks & geese build pretty thin nests

Glad the geese are being looked after!
Nice bunch of photos as usual Stig. Keep 'em coming!
