Title: 1st full ride to Y. S. after brake rebuild
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on April 15, 2026, 04:16:08 PM
It had been a while since I'd started up the LIKE200i (built 2012, 20K miles) - and after the fuel pump finished its meow - I touched the starter button and the scooter fired instantaneously!~ (LIKE200i owners know what I'm talking about!)

No issues with the front brake following my amateur refurb.
Scooter ran like a Chinese swiss watch!

Hotel put the tables back out after our wild winter. Umbrellas coming soon I hope.

Yellow Springs anecdote
I was in YS a few days ago, on a rare solo mid-day visit. Picked up my coffee and had a seat on a bench in front of the bookstore - people watching. (saw Chappelle get in his GWagon and drive away)
Bit rough looking guy approached me and asked for "a couple of dollars". I stood up and dug out my wallet as we partially blocked the sidewalk for a handful of strollers. They spectated as I gave him a couple of dollars. He took it, turned and walked away - .... I tossed a fairly quiet "you're welcome" his way. Folks shook their heads - I shrugged and went back to work keeping an eye on things.

Nice when a "shake-down" ride goes to plan.

My outings yesterday were in sunshine and 15C dry conditions.  As close to perfect as makes no never mind.  The DTX360 is running well and it all served to make me enthusiastic for the summer riding to come.

Photos, photos, must remember to take more photos!
