Looking at the 350 Royal Enfield.
Curious to sit one, wondering if it'd be too small for me - too short?
I note that the wheelbase is some 5" shorter than my 2014 Honda Forza scooter!
5" is a lot.
For a bit less $ I could pick up a NOS Forza.
I do miss shifting!

Have a 500 RE here right now for alterations.
Full 20 hp, fuel injection, fun to ride.

I read nothing but good things about Royal Enfield. They seem to be winning with their smaller displacement, reasonably priced bikes that look great and are proving reliable. They've introduced so many new models in the past few years it's hard to keep up!
Are new old stock Forzas really still available??
-
Yes, for a bike priced (used and under 10K kms) €3.000,- you need not worry too much.
Showed bike will go on Europe-Asia tour pretty soon for a year or two. Mechanics can done by any backyard guy. Injection system can be taken from KTM cycles....
AND if all fails, leave it where it is.

They've sold really well here since launch. Suspect the 350cc option might be a little on the compact side for you Stig? If you sit on one, make sure you can turn the bars on full lock without bashing your knees!

Yes Neil - I've sat a couple of under 500cc bikes and I have the same problem: short wheelbase, and or my feet too far behind me.
I have dealt with the knees/bars thing since 2013 and my first scooter. Second nature now to spread like a GP racer "air-braking", and only need to do that when maneuvering slowly.
I know I'm just daydreaming - I'll never want anything bigger than a 350 - and those are too short for me.

Hawk, I look every now and then - be surprised. Always seems to be one sitting, dusty, somewhere.
Are usually a few very low mile Forzas out there.
I've tried to convince myself that a naked Honda 300F is OK for me - but sits too small!
Probably just as well, at my age. Won't be too long before i see a snowman on my odometer!

Hope fuel shortages aren’t a problem, Ruffus
-
still may be too small...but RE makes the Meteor 350, which is a more 'cruiser' version with more forward controls. May give you more foot and leg room?
-
I’m just 5’9, but adding highway pegs to the 250 Rebel allows me to lean back and stretch out. Bike feels like a lazyboy on wheels.

Dunno about Italy, but the UK has seen prices hike some 20% already!! Last fill up on the scooter was at £1.78 per litre.
-
Here in Italy we do have a little bit raised fuel price too.
Diesel up to € 2.20/ ltr and Benzina around € 1.80/ltr.
We are used to high fuelprices here, so not that much of surprise. Not a huge prob for me as an individual driver, but for people who HAVE to use their car/ moto its getting pricey.

Presumably for a (US) gallon Stig? That'd be 3.78 litres. Or $0.84 per litre!

That's a bargain - send a tanker load over this way!

I'm waiting for the below $2 that was sorta promised

A couple of years ago I paid forty seven cents ($.47) for a gallon of gas..... with my dollar a gallon discount from my grocery store!
I don't much trust the gas, so I only use it in my truck, which depending on gas prices can cost me nearly a hundred dollars to fill the tank.
Stig
I remember the shell station in Massachusetts. If you bought three dollars worth of gas, you got a free car wash. I had to drive my beetle in there on fumes, in order to get that car wash!

on fumes sounds about right, I usually put $2.75 , rarely $3, 2 pennies a mile!!!
