well, not one for the record books...about 600 miles on the Nighthawk, 600 on the little Ninja and 150 on the Helix. Life just didn't cooperate this year.
How about you? Lots of miles? Good riding year?
-
retirement and projects around the homestead I've gone from 40k/yr to 950 miles on my Nissan Frontier, about the same on my AK550, maybe 500 on my K-Pipe. 2400 total miles. I've put more diesel in my tractor than gas in all my other vehicles.

Don't feel too bad. At 81 years old and Syracuse, NY weather to contend with I'm happy as heck with my 1300 miles.
-
Just under 3,000 and counting on my DTX360 and just over 200 on my Street Triple. Disappointed not to have covered more on the Triumph this last year, but circumstances were against me. Must try harder in 2026.
On 4 wheels, the wife's Landy has done about 8K miles and we're still pleased as punch with how it is performing.

Not my shortest (miles) year but not my usual.
I only rode about 4500 miles this year. Still riding though so will be a few more. I've installed my Kemimoto handlebar muffs to keep my hands warm when the temps drop. Kemimoto calls them winter touch sensitive "gloves" but they are really bar muffs. Like Hippo Hands but better.

Under 1000 this year on the 250, most of which were done in one trip down to the South. Baby on the way now and Mrs. Viper is likely to need the car more whilst she's on maternity leave next year, so likely to do a few more on the Enfield next year.

The year isn't over yet. I had a hip replaced at the end of May and the doctor told me not to ride for 8 weeks after the operation. My riding also slowed down before the operation so my mileage this year is down. I'm a little over 12,000 miles now but expect to ride some more before the end of the year. I'll try to post again after the year is over.
-
impressive miles, Klav, especially considering your hip issues! I'm not intending to be done for the year, either, but it is 8 degrees F with a foot of snow on the ground...hoping to get another ride in before the 31st.
-
looks like my December ride will not happen. I haven't missed a month of riding in a few years but this December was so snowy and cold until just recently. Then the holidyas came...and more damp, misty weather and salt covered roads means I'm staying in. Today is rain this morning, changing over to a wintry mix in the afternoon with a huge temp drop. Tomorrow we're leaving town for a short vacation over the New Year.
So goodbye to the 2025 riding year. Let's hope next year is one to remember!

December ended up being a good month for riding as I rode around 900 miles. My total for the year was just over 13,000 miles.
Here's the breakdown:
Honda ADV 150: 4109
Vespa GTS: 3751
Kawasaki Versys 650: 3597
Kawasaki KLX250: 1618
I also put a few miles on various demo bikes.
It was a pretty good year considering I missed a lot of riding due to my hip replacement. I'm hoping to ride a lot more next year.

Hey! "Enfield"?! When did you pull the trigger on this one then? Thoughts on it? Do share - with pics if possible.
Oh and congratulations on the other soon to be happy event!

Klav, you da man! That's a very impressive tally, especially given the hip situation. Kudos to you.

Thanks. It wasn't a huge amount of miles but it was still a great year for me. I started the year having ridden in 44 of the 50 states and managed to ride 4 of the remaining 6. I rode in 11 states this year, AL, MS, TN, GA, KY, NC, IA, MN, SD, NE and WY. I'm hoping to do at least a couple of long trips this year as well a some shorter, 3-4 day trips and a lot of day rides. I'm cutting back on commuting around town because the traffic here is getting really bad in town.

Thankyou!
A friend of mine gave up riding - bad back - so I bought his Meteor 350 off him in mid-December and rode it back from Southampton one Saturday. So I managed to add an additional 200 miles to my target in December!
Waiting for it to warm up to get rid of the Suzuki now. I've done a fair bit of decustomisation - removed sissy bars, engine shields, windscreen etc - getting it closer to the bare bones that I prefer. Still some way to go.

Wow, nice looking machine, should be great fun once the snow & cold is gone!
