Absolutely THE worst part of servicing the brake fluid !
The turn pods and mirrors must be removed in order to remove the headset panels to renew old brake fluid.
Reinstalling the mirrors with a bit of blue loctite seems to go well. You wait several days for it's 15 minutes Set-Time to lock the mirror stem in place.
It seems tight.
You head out in the dark and 20 mins and a few harsh bumps later you notice that your mirror has swiveled nearly to your elbow@#$%!
Man I hate doing the brake fluid!!!!
Maybe my blue Loctite is old - and maybe I need to use the Loctite "Primer/Cleaner" the next time?
Kymco used a weird 'pinch-fitting' on the smooth, threadless tip of the mirror stem.
The master cylinder/brake lever base is threaded for an 8mm mirror fitting.
My long stem mirror stem is 10mm - so - the black adapter, seen here. 10mm down to Kymco's 8mm threaded hole.
Tight!, but do not get stupid - that's an 8mm bolt hole in alloy!

I'm on my 3rd try. Ordered new blue and the primer.
And, yes, these extra-long stemmed mirrors put more leveraging on the mounting - but stock Kymco mirrors are in my tool-box Joke Drawer, now.
