Title: OEM tire spec's GT300i
Post by: Yellow Jacket on October 27, 2025, 12:12:08 AM
Can anyone tell me what the original tires were on a '13 GT300i? What I'm looking for is the speed rating which will be a single letter such as a P,Q,R,S or T. Thanks in advance for your help, Vic.

:@Yellow Jacket welcome here!
Cannot say for your scoot but:
-different continents, different countries/ states have different legislation when it comes to vehicles specs.
Here in Italy my title with technical  specs says 61K for an KYMCO XCiting 300ir.
So you might check your scoots docs to see what's required.

Quick look at parts sellers shows H and W for a 2013 GTi.
Frustrating!....
Owner's manual?

Yes, KENDA, but the letter is decisive...

I would be more comfortable finding a tire with a speed rating that exceeds the top speed I would be riding, versus the one it originally came with.

A strange thing on my Honda Helix is the Bridgestone Molas ML17 tires that came on it, originally, had a J rating for 62 mph. The scooter will cruise at 70 mph all day long. Weird, but for most people that is still their tire of choice.

I chose tires with a higher speed rating but those are no longer available so when it's time for replacements I may go with the old tried and true Molas, with 62 mph speed rating.

Good luck with whatever you decide to do.
