I got clipped 2 days ago while turning into the State Park. I'm at the head of maybe 3 or 4 cars, waiting for oncoming traffic before turning into the park on my LIKE200i.
Traffic clears and I begin my L turn. I think he was car #2 or #3 behind me, and impatiently moves to pass us all. I honestly don't think he saw me at the head of the line of cars. I think I saw him and I think I tried to signal him with my L hand that I'm turning.
In any event - I received a glancing shot to my left forearm off of something on the front of his P-Up, wobbled and, because he'd re-steered me - nearly rode into the guard rail at the corner entrance to the park.
I'd probably been OK if I hadn't stuck out my arm.
Fortunately, neither 0f us were going very fast. Except - yeah he sped off.
We're PG rated here - so won't remove the bandage.
Peeled a 50 cent silver dollar size flap out my forearm. I was wearing my FirstGear jacket and leather gloves.

oh, wow! Glad it wasn't worse. Also glad you had your gear on. You think you're doing everything right...and something totally unanticipated happens (car pulling out to pass multiple vehicles?). In your scenario I'm focusing on the oncoming traffic and the turn into the park...not expecting some idiot to pull out and do a multiple vehicle pass. I guess we all add this scenario to the other possibilities...
Glad you didn't go down, but that arm looks pretty sore.

Yeah aches some today after using the arm to ride.
And, didn't mention that the whole road is dble yell no passing.
I already had a good bit of that part of my arm removed a few yes ago - digging out skin cancer.
At that turn in to the park I've learned to stay positioned in the center of my lane if waiting for oncoming traffic. Giving following cars no room to pass me on the shoulder. With a guard rail on the right... there's simply no room to my right to safely pass me. But some will try!
Being lane center probably hid me, but still he crossed dble yellows!
Bandage changes are exciting 🙃*

* wounded soldiers would weep when they heard that dressing change cart come onto the ward. With good reason.

I used a towel from my kit, and phoned my wife to bring some bandages. I'm on blood thinners and so am an excellent bleeder! We live maybe 3, 4 miles from this reservoir/park. A couple from an oncoming car saw what happened. Husband told my wife I was hit by the p-up"s trailer mirror. The extended kind used when pulling a camper.
Wife thought I knew the above..
Anyway, scooter is fine. Jacket lost a cuff snap.

Jacket probably needs a good wash to remove the blood! It doesn’t appear the hit has slowed down your scooter activities.

Oh wow Stig so sorry to see that damage to you. It could have been a lot worse I guess, but you still look to have taken a serious clout to the forearm. Glad you managed to stay upright and that your on call nurse was so close!! Has the post impact swelling started yet?...
