Just wondering if Kymco still make the Venox. There is a new on on craigslist that I think is a 2008. I always thought they were a great looking motorcycle, and the youtube videos I've seen show it to be a great sounding bike too. I would be concerned about parts availability though.

I don not believe the Venox is still in production.

Here is a list of Kymco bikes sold here:
PULSAR 125 QUANNON 125 VENOX 250
QUANNON NAKED 125
So, V250 is still in production.

2010 Kymco Venox 250 EOS - USA Specifications
MSRP: $NA USD
Model not available in the USA
This sort of stinks.

They've still got lots of parts and the model is still in production globally.

That's cool!
Thanks, adri!!

No problem :) I know Studio Cycle Group (http://www.studiocyclegroup.com), where I bought my KYMCO Venox from here in Toronto, Canada, still has 2 Venox on the showroom floor.

Hi - first post.
I am at San Jose Kymco. The venox is a neat little bike. Everyone thought it was bigger displacement than it was. It was neat to have them on the floor.
Typically manufacturers have to keep a parts inventory for years after discontinuing a model. Although Italjet just abandoned it all, that is another story.
I wouldn't be concerned with the parts inventory stream for the Venox for a while. I can access the microfiche and its all there .

question answered....
just a clarification though....
what you bought was a 2012 model? and not an old stock model?
what's the difference between a 2012 from an older model?

It's stamped as 2012 on the bike chassis - I'm a n00b but I think it's near the VIN or Chassis serial number.
I've asked the same question regarding the differences between the two and apparently nothing, just manufactured this year (2012).

Just a little review from a three days of riding :
It's comfortable
It feels and looks like a solid bike
easy to handle
I've already clocked 300 km on the bike and I still have plenty of fuel
It's loud enough for other motorists to know you're close by - it doesn't sound like 250cc, more like a 600+ cc (see youtube and search for venox250)
the horn is a loud 'meep meep'
I can ride this bike without any limbs going numb
Easy for learners :)
This is my first bike; but I've ridden others CBF250/VTR250/V-Star 250. This bike is 'da bomb' :)

Cons
I want a tacho
Although the reserve fuel light turns on - there's no fuel gauge :( But you can swing the bike left and right a little to hear how much fuel you have left + count the km. One tank should get 300-400km depending how you ride (i'll update as soon as I have to refill on one tank)
There is NO glove box :( and if there is I'm still trying to find it - I can't seem to open the seat; there's a bolt I've undone but I still can't lift it. I'll have to investigate further.
Doesn't come with saddle-bags (but I suspect they're usually bought as an extra)
