Strange, to me, that a scooter tire is turned about - depending which end it is installed.

Yeah, those CG2s tread pattern on the fronts always look the wrong way round to me too Stig.

Wonder how many home installers get it wrong?
Every so often hear about a customer complaining to the dealer that they've installed them backwards.

I see posts on Reddit 'motorcycles' all the time questioning if the front tires are on correctly...

Hi Stig, Hi Hawk,

Don't know about the US market, but here in the UK the tyre sidewall has an arrow indicating the direction of rotation for the dummies* / hard of thinking!

(* Or those, like me, who find it hard to compute that the tread pattern really does go that way round!)

🫣 short but true story of mine:

..back in the days when I had a BMW R60, a colleague ask me whether I would drive backwards very often and to an extended amount.

I ask him why this question?

Told me, my front tire was mounted wrong way aound!
One of the rare occasions a shop did my tire and air chamber change. 😂

ahh, but there are two arrows on the tire!  Only half the arrows are correct. So, there's a 50% chance that a senior rider can mess it up!

Had to nip out & check!  This is my front CG2 which, it seems can be installed on a rear wheel too!  So, two conflicting arrows...
