Title: Kymco Agility 125 R16+ Fuel Injected 2023 model
Post by: Micatech on April 21, 2025, 07:56:12 AM
Hi all,
       I have an opportunity to buy a Kymco Agility 125 R16+  Fuel Injected very cheap as it was run with lack of oil and I suspect it needs a new bore and piston at least.

I have tried to locate kits for this engine. Apparently its a 4 valve engine and the GY6 bores and pistons are totally different.

I dont want to purchase if parts are going to be difficult and expensive to source.

Any info/comments appreciated.

your location in the world will have a big impact on parts pricing and availability..where are you located?  Plus you may have more than just piston and cylinder damage from low oil. Crankshaft bearing may be shot.. Used motors are few and far between in the US but if you are in Europe you may have much better luck.

@Micatech, welcome here!
Lack of oil and thereafter a capital motor write-off will mostly need a new crankshaft, oil pump with all bearings, plus as you said a piston, head and foot gaskets (kit) and few other parts.

This is not for an unskilled layman, because of timing chain, cams and rockers.
