Title: Hitting max revs
Post by: Yoni159 on February 24, 2025, 04:52:22 PM
I was bored and i put my downtown 350i on centre stand and pull the throttle all the way down until it went to 9-10k rpms.. the engine didnt shuts off but its was weird i did it just because i was curious only now i understand this is bad.. i did it several times for few seconds.. but everything is fine.. maybe i destroyed something i didnt know? It will cause my Engine to fail earlier than normal?

Downtown engines are pretty bullet-proof so I doubt any damage done.  All the same, such 'ooligan behaviour is not recommended!

Most modern engines do, so maybe if you heard it start stuttering, that could have been the reason?
