Since weather was fine (as almost anyday) I took the 750 MotoGuzzi Nevada out to sunlight and did a appr. 100 km roundtrip via MONFALCONE, with one of the biggest luxury cruising ship wharfs in Europe (FINCANTIERI). They produce anout 1-2 ships a year for worldwide cruising.
Next stop was MIREN in Slovenija with its beautiful old castle and monastery, worth to be seen. Nice meandering roads without too much traffic, ideal for old chaps...
On the backleg a short stop in GRADISCA di Isonzo, with a view over the famous/infamous Isonzo river, where during WW I about one million soldiers on both, Austrian and Italian side, were killed to gain a few kilometers of territory.
It's having high water right now a true sight.
Fom this point usually I would start by kajak to reach its mouth to the sea in a nature reserve called ISONZATO.

beautiful bike, scenery and weather! Consider me jealous from the land of dark, cold and snow!

“Nice meandering roads without too much traffic”—high on the list of my favorite things in life.
Not to be morbid, but how were a million bodies disposed of?
