Title: rural riding in the dark and fog
Post by: Stig / Major Tom on November 21, 2024, 06:43:11 PM
I would not likely have ridden out in the dark in a fog this thick - and it was quite thick in areas! - except that I know these roads like the back of my hand. Still, I missed one turn and had to double back.

Fog thick enough to require rain gear - and needed my battery heated gloves for the 42°F temperature.
BTW - other than providing a lot of nighttime glare-back, my Piaggio flyscreen does zip to keep me dry or warm :)
but it's low enough to not bother my vision of the road when soaked.

oem 55/60W Halogen headlight gives me a nice flat cone of light.

It was a very wet ride - and required 10>15 sec. wipes to clear the visor.
