Title: used the 5W amber running light to stay on the road!

Out in the sticks in a hard rain before sunrise this morning. One car was approaching me over a long slow rise in the road - which caused his (dimmed) headlights to be hard in my vision for a lengthy period!
The wet road, the center and shoulder lines - all disappeared.

A small portion of the white fog-line is visible right next to my scooter thanks to the glow of the LIKE's little 5W amber running light.
I guided on that little patch of amber light!
Those two little running lights are surprisingly bright on a pitch dark night!

also, I've lost a good % of my left eye's vision over the past few yrs

No shame in stopping until they've passed Stig.  Just a thought.

I did stop the other night coming into Yellow Springs.
Combination of no street light, car headlights, shoulder may have parked cars....and I  saw "something" ahead.
I stopped dead, car passed by...and ahead of me on my side of the street was a woman with her back to me walking in the road with a dog. She had a penlight in her hand aimed in a 6" spot on the pavement.
The speed limit in Y. S. is 25mph....still could have been ugly.
